Singapore
The Singapore office was reopened in 2003, which provides a hub for Aurecon's facade engineering in the Asia Pacific region and beyond. This office works closely with the facade groups in Thailand, Malaysia, China and Indonesia - and also provides civil and structural engineering for buildings and infrastructure. Our facade group is supported by the facade teams in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in Australia. Aurecon also contracts work in operations and maintenance training and testing in the power industry, and works further afield in India, Dubai, Taiwan and Japan.
Our key people
Sani Chang Sani manages the facade group in Singapore and is currently leading Aurecon's entry into facade engineering in China. He is an architect and project manager specialising in facade engineering. Sani's recent projects include Fusionpolis, NTUC Centre, Siemens Headquarters and The Sail @ Marina Bay residential development.
Wee Soon Eng Soon Eng manages the civil and structural group in the Singapore office. In addition, he provides the local coordination for energy and environmentally sustainable design (ESD) consultancy services. Soon Eng is also responsible for the management and training of all Asia Pacific staff in the use of the Aurecon Operations System, which has ISO 9001 accreditation.
Yang Li Yang Li has an MSc in Façade Engineering and B. Arch background with a broad experience base of projects in the Singapore in curtainwalling and cladding. He has 16 years of experience in the construction industry and including 11 years in the Façade industry. He has been a lecturer for Façade Engineering in the National University of Singapore for 10 years. He is a lecturer for BCA for the Green Mark Manager and Green Mark Professional course. His knowledge of both Architecture and Façade Engineering is well balanced with his practical hands-on experience.
Jean Ong Jean Ong is an associate in the civil and structural group in the Singapore office. She has more than 14 years of experience in different types of projects including high-rise commercial buildings, condominiums, institutional buildings and infrastructure projects. Her experience includes long-span steel trusses and transfer beams. Recently, she worked on asset enhancement initiatives for a multi-national client which involve modification of existing blade columns in carpark to convert the space to retail area, addition of 2-storey steel structure in the atrium, etc all done while the complex remained operational.

Projects
Fusionpolis at one-North, Singapore This project is made up of three towers of office complex for IT, infocomm and media industries - with the facade value estimated at S$40 million.
Works are ongoing and scheduled to be completed in mid-2007. The scope of work includes design development of the curtainwall and metal cladding, inspection of the fabrication, testing and installation of the facade, environmental studies, fire engineering and facade engineering of the building.
CEFC II Church Aurecon was the civil and structural consultant for the design and supervision of a new five-storey church with two basements located at Woodlands, Singapore. The key feature is the use of long-span steel transfer trusses in the structure to create a column-free sanctuary at the second storey. |
