New Bangkok International Airport
The New Bangkok International Airport has been named by the King of Thailand as Survanabhumbi or Golden Land airport. It is located to the west of Bangkok in an area that was previously rice fields known as Ngong Ngu Hau or Cobra Swamp.
The first stage of the airport is to provide facility for 45 million passengers per year and comprises the main terminal building, the concourse building and two main runways. There are also many other major structures and facilities within the precinct and surrounding areas to include transport links. The design of the main terminal building facade is by Aurecon (Thailand) and, at 37 m high and over 1.1 km in length, is one of the largest tension truss point fixed glass systems in the world.
Yamoo Peninsula Residential Development, Thailand
The Yamoo residential development consists of 64 upmarket residential plots each with ocean frontage. The development will also have communal facilities, including tennis courts, artificial lake, delicatessen and gatehouse. Aurecon is currently designing all the civil infrastructure including the steep access roads, in-ground services and stormwater management systems including detention capacity in an artificial lake. On completion of the infrastructure we will conduct the structural design of all the house units on very challenging terrain.
